In good tradition, the annual KBS alumni event returned to London on the third Thursday in June, this time in Covent Garden.
The event is a great way for KBS alumni to stay in touch and network with fellow students, understand how KBS is working together with businesses and get involved with the School themselves – as a guest speaker, student mentor or volunteer.
More than half of the alumni present expressed an interest in becoming a KBS alumni ambassador: a regional ambassador for KBS and point of contact for prospective students.
Many familiar faces as well as a good number of ‘newcomers’ who had picked up on the event through social media, turned up at the Irish pub, The Porterhouse. It was an enjoyable evening where people mingled and networked with their fellow peers.
The KBS community seems to be faring very well in the World of Work. We heard lots of great stories about budding careers at corporates such as IBM, Deloitte, Ralph Lauren and Bloomberg, and celebrated with upcoming entrepreneurs, such as Emay Enemokwu whose streetwear brand Jehu-Cal is making waves in the fashion industry.
We are already looking forward to our 2020 alumni event in London. Let’s continue to build our KBS alumni community in Kent, London and across the world!
