Kent Business School Accounting and Finance graduate Ben Jackson has been appointed chair of KBS’s International Advisory Board.
KBS Advisory Board is a body of specialists, academics and former students who advise the Dean and Senior Leadership Team on the School’s strategic objectives. They work to strengthen the School’s vision, mission and values and provide independent, external and commercially oriented advice.
The Board is a forum for the exchange of ideas on strategic direction and board members are advocates for the School. They are encouraged to actively promote the School’s research, academic provision and student body across a wide range of networks.
Ben, who will head up the IAB, graduated from KBS in 1999 and joined Deloitte where he qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 2002. Ben is now a Partner in Deloitte’s Banking & Capital Markets External Audit Group where he has led the external audits of several UK and international banking and capital markets businesses.
Ben is also a Trustee of Depaul UK, a charity who operate nationwide to work alongside young people facing homelessness and offer accommodation, practical support and the wellbeing resources that the people they work with need to get back on their feet.

Ben Jackson says: “I am thrilled at the opportunity to contribute towards the ongoing development of KBS, to rekindle some old memories of my own time with the School and to play a part in creating memories for the generations of KBS students to come.”
Outside of his working life, Ben is a father of four young children and enjoys cooking, gardening, reading and coaching his son’s football team at a local club.
