Our Empowering Tomorrow: Unleashing Creativity through Generative AI conference will be held on Wednesday 18 October 2023 at The Sibson Building from 14.00 to 19.00.
This free conference, open in person to students, staff and local alumni, will showcase the latest research and applications of AI in various domains, such as health, education, business, and innovation that is taking place across the University of Kent and Amazon.
Those outside of the University are welcome to join free online.
Here, we take a closer look at the Amazon Web Services experts who will be delivering speeches on the day:
Anna Grüebler
Anna is a Specialist Solutions Architect at AWS focusing on in Artificial Intelligence and Generative AI. She has more than 10 years of experience helping customers develop and deploy machine learning applications.
Her passion is taking new technologies and putting them in the hands of everyone, and solving difficult problems leveraging the advantages of using AI in the cloud.
Bogdan Vrusais
Bogdan is the Leader of the pan-EMEA AI / ML Specialist Solutions Architecture team at AWS. He has over 25 years of professional and academic experience in researching, designing and implementing complex AI/ML solutions.
For the last five years at AWS he has been supporting Amazon’s customers in building state-of-the-art solutions spanning from Generative AI to traditional ML.

Join our panel discussions to have your say. Each session will include short talks with a range of presenters including academics, students and professionals with an opportunity for questions and discussions with the audience. The discussions are:

Networking drinks and a live piano vs. AI improvisation by German pianist Dr Esther Fee Feichtner will take place in the foyer alongside stands from ASPIRE, our Employability Teams including live demo CV checks and University of Kent Computer Science Department.
