Our Virtual Alumni Soundbite event will take place on Wednesday 31 May and is open to KBS alumni, local businesses and KBS current students.
The online panel debate between alumni and academic experts offers the chance to learn about the trends, setbacks and challenges facing the financial industry today, especially surrounding the use of FinTech.

Dr Hirbod Assa
Hirbod is a Senior Lecturer in Finance and Fintech and the Programme Director of MSc Financial Technology at KBS. His research covers fintech (technology that’s used to augment, streamline, digitise or disrupt traditional financial services, software and algorithms); insuretech, machine learning and risk management. Hirbod also provides expertise opinion to BBC Kent and KMTV and other media outlets in the field of finance and economics on a regular basis.
KBS Alum Chibunga Mupwaya
Chibunga is an investment banking enthusiast who values dedication, hard work and all things finance. Chibunga is currently on the Graduate Trainee Programme of a leading Pan-African Bank in Lusaka, Zambia. She is a recent MSc Finance and Management Graduate from KBS where she was the recipient of the Director of Studies Award for outstanding contribution to her course.
KBS Alum Sohaib Ahmed
Sohaib is currently working as a Senior Auditor/Accountant and is on the path to becoming a Chartered Accountant. He is passionate about entrepreneurship and graduated from KBS with a distinction in Accounting & Finance in 2020.
