Think of an Applicant Day as a tailored Open Day, made just for you and your subject of interest.
The day is jam packed with tours, presentations and showcases of what we offer at Kent, but there’s plenty of time for fun – with socialising and a free delicious lunch on us!
But free food is not the only good thing about signing up to one of our Applicant Days (though it’s a pretty good one!) Here are our top reasons for getting yourself on campus before you make your firm choice:
Reason 1: Meet your academics
Some of our academic staff feature in the top two per cent of researchers worldwide according to a recent study by Stanford University and on an Applicant Day, you’ll get to meet them face-to-face.
There is no one more likely to know a subject inside out than the teachers on the course, who have dedicated their lives to researching and learning the topics you are interested in.
Plan ahead and prepare some questions for them – this is the time to really get a feel for what to expect on your course.
Reason 2: Meet current students
During your Applicant Day you will have opportunities to hear from current students taking your course, for some real insider information on what its like to study at Kent Business School.
Our current students will tell you all about the course content as well as university life as a whole – from study facilities to the best Kent Union clubs, societies and social events.
Reason 3: Visit the facilities
During an Applicant Day you also get to tour facilities and academic buildings.
You will see where you will study and take a proper tour around our varied student accommodation to help you decide which is best for you.
Many of our buildings are award-winning in terms of their architecture, like our Sibson Building, and others, like the Drill Hall Library on our Medway site, are well known for their historical nature.
Reason 4: Meet your future friends
Many of our students meet one another and make friends at our Applicant Days as there is plenty of time to socialise and network.
During the day you will get to meet other students who might choose the same course as you. Heading off to University can be a really big change, but an exciting one – having some friendly faces in the crowds during your Welcome Week can really make a difference.
There are so many reasons to attend an Applicant Day and, whether you decide to come to Kent Business School or not, you will get so much out of the day to take forward on your journey into higher education.
