Dr Zita Stone, Associate Dean of Graduate Studies and PG Student Experience (Taught) and Senior Lecturer in Management held pre-sessional talks for international students and University of Kent applicants earlier this month.
The presentations included Managing Corporate Social Responsibility Globally and Expectations of Postgraduate studies in the UK followed by a session on Monday 25th July about the Learning Journey on the KBS Business degree. They aimed to help to ease students in to the intensity of postgraduate study in a new country.
Dr Stone says: “Ensuring that our students feel part of the KBS community starts at the applicant stage. We engage with students on the pre-sessional programme to ensure they feel supported, informed and excited about the fantastic journey ahead on their chosen postgraduate course at KBS.”
Applicant Nanako Oide commented: “The talks [delivered by Zita Stone] showed me not only the importance of practical studies in the Business School but also tips for success in postgraduate studies such as a networking and communication within the School.”
Another attendee, Pinchan Pongmontree, said: “I loved the way she drove students to understand the topic and raise awareness. I thought that the information about this topic and activities in Kent was very useful, and many of my friends found it interesting too.”
