The Kent and Medway Business Summit returns on Friday 13 January 2023 in the award-winning Sibson building on the Canterbury campus of the University of Kent.
Bringing together over 300 businesses, key policymakers and leading academics, the sixth annual Summit will focus on the latest news from key projects and leading expert keynote speakers from across the county, alongside Q&A and debate on topics including productivity, sustainability, place-making and skills.
To celebrate the Summit being back in its January slot for 2023, we’re offering an early bird discount for anyone who signs up for the event over the coming months.
This year’s event took place in April, due to Covid-19 restrictions and was a roaring success, featuring speakers including Kitty Ussher, Chief Economist, Institute of Directors, Cllr Roger Gough, Leader, Kent County Council, Richard Hicks, Director of Place, Deputy Chief Executive, Medway Council with a great take up and feedback from delegates who attended.
Laura Bounds MBE owner of Kent Crisps, Kentish Oils & Condiments and A Little Bit said: ‘The Business Summit is critical from two perspectives: to network with people outside of your sector and to learn from the experts in the industry, we had a great session with an economist to really give us an in depth understanding of where the economy is heading, and that sort of insight is very rare when you’re working at 100 miles an hour every day. It’s fantastic to be back and it’s a great event and I am really delighted to have attended.”
Bal Sander, CEO of Hectic Lifestyles and Kent alum added: “From a networking point of view, events like the Summit are valuable to speak to other businesses.”
