Join Kent Business School’s Subsidised Help to Grow: Management Scheme

The Government’s Help to Grow: Management scheme, facilitated at Kent Business School, is open for applicants to start this August.  The government backed scheme, which is 90% subsidised, will now offer even more opportunities– through an extra subsidised place on the training scheme per business.

Help to Grow is a £520 million initiative backed by the Small Business Charter, to help owners of small and medium-sized firms take their business to the next level. Kent Business School finished its first cohort in June 2022 and received excellent feedback from those who signed up.

Government funding covers 90% of costs and means that for as little as £750, leaders can benefit from high quality face to face and virtual learning sessions from academic experts, one-to-one support from a business mentor, peer to peer facilitated sessions and access to a network of like-minded business leaders and a bespoke growth plan to help the business reach its full potential.

The course is available to firms with 5 or more employees (those with 10 or more employees will now be eligible to have up to two participants join the scheme). Additionally, previous participants on the Small Business Leadership Programme will also now be eligible to join the scheme.

Katie Collins, Research and Business Development Manager for Kent Business School, says:  “Following the success of the first cohort of the H2GM scheme and the wonderful feedback from the participants, Kent Business School is delighted to launch a second cohort at the end of August.  We look forward to welcoming another group of SME decision-makers to our KBS Community and supporting their businesses on their growth journey.”

The course covers strategies for growth and innovation, leading high-performance teams, and digital adoption, as well as financial management and responsible business practices. Those who take the course will hear from inspirational business leaders and learn alongside local peers, with access to a national alumni network.

By the end of the programme, those who finish the course will develop a tailored business growth plan to increase productivity and grow revenue.

The next course starts in February 2024, you can request more information on the course now.
