KBS’ Professor Maria Paola Scaparra to Present at WORAN event

Professor Maria Paola Scaparra, Professor of Management Science at Kent Business School is appearing at the Lightening Talk Event by Women Making Difference in OR and Analytics (WORAN) on 28 April 2022. 

Paola specialises in development of analytics tools and optimisation models for disaster management, humanitarian logistics, healthcare service planning, transportation planning and sustainable development. Her speech at the event is entitled: Empowering Southeast Asian Communities with Operational Research.   

Dr Scaparra says: “I am thrilled to be one of the featured female speakers in this event. I hope my lightning talk will inspire future generations of OR researchers to develop new OR tools which can be used to address global development challenges, create more equitable and inclusive societies, and support the most vulnerable communities in the developing world”.   

The virtual event begins at 1.30pm via Zoom. Other speakers include:
