KBS’s Dr Kathy Kotiadis Honoured for Work in STEM Careers

Reader in Management Science Dr Kathy Kotiadis has been honoured for her contribution to STEM careers.

Taylor and Francis published a video to mark The International Day of Women and Girls in Science (February 11th) which placed a much-needed focus on girls entering Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) careers.

Dr Kotiadis was selected following impactful research in the area of simulation modelling. Two of her papers were named as amongst the most influential in the Journal of Simulation of the past 10 years. These papers were How simulation modelling can help reduce the impact of COVID-19 and Using soft systems methodology to determine the simulation study objectives. 

Dr Kathy Kotiadis is a Reader in Management Science/Operational Research at Kent Business School and is an expert in developing quantitative and qualitative modelling approaches to support stakeholder engagement, primarily in Health Care.
