Today marks the launch of Spill the B, our eagerly awaited student-led podcast, available free on Spotify.
Every month, Spill the B, brought to you by our student host Syed Mahmood, will bring to you the best babble, badinage and (occasionally) back chat on hot topics from general university life, to bossing it at business.
Our first episode, The Pandemic Villain, explores how Covid-19, lockdown and social distancing have impacted university life. Syed and special guest Dr Catherine Robinson, Deputy Dean and Senior Lecturer in Applied Economics and Business Statistics at KBS talk through the trials and tribulations of being a student during an international pandemic.
Tolerance, resilience, funny technical hitches and some surprising highs alongside the many lows are covered in the first edition of the podcast, available to listen to now.
“If one of the graduate goals is resilience, this year has absolutely typified how tough our students have had to be,” remarks Dr Robinson. “Not only in terms of studying but pressures at home with connectivity issues, with worries about family and friends. People have been tremendously put upon this year and it is amazing how well everyone has done.”
Would be an honour to join and talk all things business and women empowerment!
