Kent Business School’s Dr Michele Bigoni has been appointed as Guest Editor for a Special Issue of Critical Perspectives on Accounting, titled “Critical Perspectives on Accounting in Italian.”
The ABS 3-star journal (ABDC A), is seeking to tear down the language barrier that may prevent some colleagues from publishing in highly-ranked journals.
Papers will have to be in Italian and the entire review process will be carried out in Italian, with authors required to professionally translate their paper only following acceptance. Both the Italian and English versions of each paper will be published.
To this purpose, the journal is exploring the possibility of adding Italian to its ‘official’ languages.
“Although this initiative is primarily of interest to Italian speakers, it may be an opportunity for non-Italian speakers to team up with Italian scholars,” explains Dr Bigoni.
