Join Our FinTech and Artificial Intelligence Panel Discussion

Kent Business School and FinAct are co-hosting a free online event that will take place on Sunday 2 May 2021 at 13.00-14.30 (BST) on Zoom.

The live discussions aim to help practitioners, academics and students get to grips with the innovative field of FinTech, including SupTech, RegTech, AI in finance, blockchain, financial inclusion and many other topics.

Live Panel 

Manuel Morales – Manuel is a professor in the department of mathematics and statistics at the University of Montreal working in the field of applied Artificial Intelligence in banking with experience in creating business value through ML and AI.

Tim Latif – Tim is a venture capitalist and an entrepreneur in the area of FinTech and InsurTech. He is the founder of Max Holding, a VC firm having a portfolio of over 20 companies and startups with over 1.000 employees, among them Azki and Bimito.

Kimmo Soramäki is the Founder and CEO of Financial Network Analytics (FNA) and the founding Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Network Theory in Finance. Kimmo started his career as an economist at the Bank of Finland where in 1997, he developed the first simulator for interbank payment systems.

Ramin Okhrati – Dr Ramin Okhrati is an assistant professor in digital finance and a full-time faculty member of the Institute of Finance and Technology (IFT) at University College London (UCL), where he is also the programme director of MSc in banking and digital finance, run by a team of academia and industry.
