KBS MBA Guest Lecture Series Event – ‘Diversity in Leadership’.

In celebration of International Women’s Day this month, our next MBA Lecture Series will be on the topic of ‘Diversity in Leadership’.

Two successful and inspiring women from diverse areas of business share with us the positives, the challenges and the inspirations of being a woman in leadership.

This interactive Zoom event, led by our Women in Leadership Scholars, will welcome a global live audience, bringing together our community of MBA students, alumni and the wider community of business leaders.

You will also have the chance to submit questions to the panel during the Q&A and to network following the Q&A.

 

Pia Roenhoej, Country Manager, IBM Technology Support Services Denmark (TSS)

 

Pia likes to make things happen. She characterises herself as solution-orientated person, a strong communicator, who loves having lot of balls in the air. Her strengths lie in creating relationships.

Pia has a 32 year long career in IBM and will share her experiences of being a ‘woman in tech’. During her career she has held down many roles spanning from teaching to sales, HR consultancy to project management, CSR to COO and now plays a pivotal role, where she is responsible for managing IBM Technology Support Services in Denmark.

Alongside this, Pia is a founder and driving force of a growing self-governing housing association that now has 50 full-time employees, offering a safe environment for 24 young adults with multiple disabilities.

 

Deborah Turner, Deborah Turner Ltd

 

Deborah Turner describes herself as a multipotentialite – running two very different companies and actively championing women in business.

Deborah will share top tips for supporting and mentoring women. Having worked in a male dominated environment for many years, Deborah is fully aware of the challenges that women wishing to succeed can face in the workplace.

She is the Champion for Women in Business for the Federation of Small Businesses (FSB) Kent, a member of the FSB Diversity Taskforce and Co-Founder of Breakthrough Women, a not for profit organisation celebrating women in business and raising the visibility of women succeeding in business.
