Kent Business School graduate, Andrew Christopher, is preparing to pitch for a place in the Santander Universities Emerging Entrepreneurs finals – where he could win £30,000 to boost his business.
Andrew, founded his start-up business LDrive, a platform connecting independent driving instructors with learner drivers, while studying Business and Management at Kent Business School’s (KBS) Medway campus.
He has been taking part in the Santander programme after being nominated by the University of Kent.
Now reaching the final stages, Andrew will pitch to a panel of judges including an investor and an entrepreneur to try to earn a place in the competition finals.
His 3-minute pitch which takes place on September 21 will be evaluated in key business areas

- Product and/or service and the problem it is solving
- Business model and its viability
- Competition
- Team
There will be 8 finalists who will go on to pitch at the National Final on 29 September. The Emerging Entrepreneurs programme supports early-stage founders to develop their start-ups. Andrew said:
“The Emerging Entrepreneurs programme has been fantastic and really helped me to develop my start-up. I’m looking forward to pitching to the judges and getting their feedback on LDrive – and hopefully getting through to the finals!”
