The Director of Graduate Studies (Research) and the Research administrators welcomed the new PhD students on Friday 20 September 2019.
The new intake of PhD students have travelled from all corners of the world such as China, Brazil, Jordan, Italy and Vietnam. Many of these students have secured prestigious scholarships such as the SeNSS scholarship.
Our new PhD students had the opportunity to engage with existing PhD students as part of the induction who had prepared posters representing the six research clusters in the school comprising of:
- Accounting
- Finance
- Management Science
- Marketing
- People Management and Organisation
- Strategy and International Business
“We have an extensive admissions process to ensure we recruit the best talent onto our PhD programmes” explained Dr Kathy Kotiadis, Director of Graduate Studies (Research).
Kent Business School offers 6 PhD programmes, based on both the Canterbury and Medway campuses. The duration of a PhD programme is typically 3 to 4 years full time and 5 to 6 years part-time.
