Visiting academic, Professor Hugh Scullion

Kent Business School is pleased to welcome Professor Hugh Scullion an internationally recognised scholar in the area of talent management.

Professor Hugh Scullion has a worldwide network of research collaborators and a long and esteemed track record of publications in the world leading and internationally excellent journals. He also has strong links with senior managers in industry and with professional bodies.

His work is at the interface between Human Resource Management and International Management and he has contributed to the strategic direction of several business schools in different contexts. He is also well known for leadership in developing innovative programmes which involved collaboration across disciplinary boundaries and collaboration with regional and international networks. The innovative programmes which he developed leveraged leading research into curriculum development and also anticipated market requirements and generated substantial income to the institutions he worked for.

Professor Scullion will be working with the Director of the School and will offer strategic advice regarding portfolio development, research collaboration with KBS staff and mentor to colleagues in the Discipline. Professor Scullion has considerable experience and expertise in Research Leadership. He has a very strong reputation as a research mentor developing individuals and groups for sustained research performance and as leader of multi-disciplinary research teams which integrate different perspectives. His strong international research networks would be valuable for creating international research opportunities for KBS staff.
