KBS forms new links with leading universities in Indonesia

Kent Business School has been actively forging fresh links with leading universities in Indonesia to develop research and teaching collaboration with new strategic partners.

The University of Kent is finalising a Memorandum of Understanding with the School of Business and Management at ITB (Institute of Technology, Bandung), a top Business School in Indonesia.

In late April, Dr Mark Hampton, KBS’ Head of Internationalisation, also visited major universities in Java and Bali, meeting with senior staff and giving guest lectures on his tourism research.

Dr Hampton was also invited to speak at an International Research Seminar on research methodologies at Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM) in Yogyakarta; another leading university that has an existing partnership with Kent. Dr Hampton also gave guest lectures at Udayana University, Bali; the Bali Tourism Institute (STP Bali); and Swisscontact – an international development organisation working on tourism and poverty alleviation.
