As part of the MSc Finance and Management programme, students recently participated in a business challenge with Integrated Technologies Limited (ITL). The company specialises in product development, product design and medical device manufacturing and operates internationally.
Kent Business School postgraduate students were tasked with helping ITL to understand the operational requirements for ITL’s evolving subsidiary in the USA and to develop a successful growth strategy by deepening existing and new operational responsibilities.
MSc Finance and Management students presented their business solutions before a panel that included ITL’s Business Development Director, Mr Greg Smith, and Marketing and Business Development Manager, Mr Carl Lincoln.
As ITL’s Greg Smith said:
“It was refreshing to get a new perspective on what we are doing in the US now and get suggestions on how we can grow the operation in the future. We were delighted with the ability of the students to work with what we admit was a complex, multi-faceted challenge and it was very difficult to pick the winning team.”
Following the business challenge, Miss Ying-Jia Huang gained an internship at ITL for 4 weeks that will grant her invaluable work experience. As she shares:
“It is definitely a wonderful experience for all of the students in the MSc Finance and Management programme to learn from both the academic field and industry.”
