KBS builds new links for student exchange and research collaboration with Thailand

Kent Business School recently hosted a visit from Thammasat University in Bangkok to create foundations for student exchange and research collaboration. KBS’ Director of School Professor Martin Meyer and Dr Mark Hampton, Reader in Tourism Management and Faculty Director of Internationalisation, both met with Professor Walter Jamieson of Thammasat’s College of Innovation.

The meeting facilitated discussions around the creation of an exciting new partnership between KBS and Thammasat. This will focus on student exchange and research collaboration in the service sector, particularly tourism development where Professor Jamieson and Dr Hampton have worked for many years.

The Kent visit followed on from successful meetings in January when Dr Hampton visited Thammasat University and gave a guest lecture to staff and students on Professor Jamieson’s pioneering Service Innovation programme.
