KBS hosted ESRC Seminar on Gendered Inclusion in Contemporary Organisations

On 9 March 2016, Kent Business School proudly hosted a well-attended seminar on “Theorising Gendered Inclusion: Contemporary Gender Roles, Identities and Expectations at Work” as part of an Economic and Social Research Council (ESRC) funded Gendered Inclusion Seminar Series.

The seminar was introduced by Kent Business School’s Dr Patricia Lewis, Reader in Management before 40 attendees from different UK institutions. Six presentations on theorising gender-related issues in contemporary organisations were delivered by leading academics in the field of Gender Studies.

A podcast of the event is available online and shares thought-provoking presentations from the day and the discussion points and questions they stimulated. The aim of the seminar was to draw attention to reconfigurations of femininity and masculinity connected to discourses of postfeminism and neoliberalism in the context of organisations.
