Professor John Mingers, Professor of Operational Research and Systems at Kent Business School recently gave a keynote presentation in Madrid on Research and Teaching Evaluation. Organised by the Psychology Department, University of Complutense in Madrid, Professor Mingers presented at the Advanced Seminar: Assessment of Research and Teaching Outcomes at Higher Education Institutions.
Sixty delegates attended the advanced seminar and Professor Minger’s talk was entitled, “Approaches to Evaluating Research Performance: Peer Review and Scientometrics – The Case of the UK Research Evaluation Framework (REF).”
Professor Mingers was selected to deliver this keynote presentation because of the papers he has written in the area of research evaluation in publications such as the European Journal of Operational Research.
