KBS is proud to announce that Dr Simon Raby’s research into the growth challenges facing Alberta’s small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) has attracted press coverage. The Calgary Herald acknowledged the importance of Dr Raby’s research; a project that will survey more than 1,000 companies across Alberta, a province of Canada where SMEs account for 98.2 per cent of the business population and 91.7 per cent of all employment.
Dr Raby’s study is funded by the Leverhulme Trust and will examine a range of issues facing the growth of SMEs from competitive strategy and leadership to innovation, technology and human resource development. The institutional partners involved in the project are Kent Business School, University of Kent and Haskayne School of Business, University of Calgary.
