Kent Business School has become a signatory to the United Nations (UN) PRME initiative, which serves as a global network for leading business schools to advance corporate sustainability and social responsibility.
Established in 2007, the UN PRME initiative works as a framework for gradual, systemic change in business schools and management-related institutions, based on continuing improvement, a learning network, and reporting progress to stakeholders.
As part of KBS’ active commitment to PRME, we will develop capabilities of our students to be future generators of sustainable value for business and society at large and incorporate the values of global social responsibility into our academic activities and curricula.
Our progress and commitment to the principles of PRME will be demonstrated through Sharing Information on Progress (SIP) reports that will be produced each year.
As Dr Adolf Acquaye, Lecturer in Sustainability at Kent Business School shares:
“Becoming a signatory to the UN PRME clearly shows KBS’ commitment to ensuring that the sustainability emphasis in our mission statement translates to enhanced learning experiences for our students, achieved through teaching, research and scholarship and operational activities”.
