KBS was delighted to host Daniel Rubin, Founder and Executive Chairman of The Dune Group as a visiting lecturer on Wednesday.
As founder of one of the most influential global players in the fashion and footwear market, KBS alumnus Daniel Rubin presented a lecture on ‘Entering New Markets’ to MBA students.
Rubin’s lecture focused on international marketing using The Dune Group as a case study. The Group generates £200m in annual sales and has 268 stores worldwide.
Dr Xuemei Bian who teaches the MBA International Marketing module explained, “Daniel was incredibly down to earth and the students learned so much from him in just two hours.”
As Dr Bian continues, “The lecture gave students direct insight into international marketing activities from a practitioner’s perspective and was highly relevant to the MBA.”
The lecture was followed by an interactive Q & A session for students. As MBA student Khadijah Kadoma Kemirembe comments:
“As a student of international marketing, I found the lecture and Q & A session highly engaging. In order to create competitive advantage, Daniel taught us the value of having a winning formula for squeezing market returns… But what I found most interesting was how much emphasis Daniel placed on having a good team.”
