Kent Business School is pleased to welcome Ruth Simpson as a visiting Professor from 1st October 2014 until 30th September 2016. Currently Professor Simpson is a Professor of Management at Brunel Business School.
As Director of Research she introduced a successful series of academic writing workshops and she has a particular interest in supporting staff and PhD students in their publication activities.
Her research interests include gender and careers, gender and emotions and gender and organizations. She was co-founder and for many years co-editor of the International Journal of Work Organization and Emotions.
She is currently associate editor for Gender Work and Organization and holds several other editorial roles. She has published widely in her field and is a long standing collaborator with Dr Patricia Lewis from KBS.
