The Dartford and Gravesham Business Awards final 12 best firms made up a spectacular evening at Woodville Halls, Gravesend when they attended a dinner and presentation this month.
A community prize was presented to Ebbsfleet United Football Club. Founded as Gravesend & Northfleet United FC in 1946, the new Ebbsfleet United Football Club Limited started last season with an uncertain future and finished with silverware for the Club’s trophy cabinet.
In third place receiving a trophy was Hodgson Pharmacy based at Station Road, Longfield. Established over 25 years ago and one of the first in the county to achieve HLP accreditation, managing director Amish Patel has invested heavily in a complete revamp of the shop and introduced the first dispensing robot of its type in the UK.
Kent Business School’s Director of External Services, David Williamson presented the second place prize that went to independently-run recruitment firm Personnel MC. The company which opened its Gravesend office in 2001 offers a recruitment service to the whole of Kent specialising in industrial, office and catering personnel to meet the demand of local companies. “A great achievement for a business that continues to grow year by year.” Said David.
The top prize went to Gravesend based Allpark Ltd. The company designs, supplies and manufactures a wide variety of steel traffic management, street furniture and cycle parking products. Its contracts include cycle parking products for SNCF on the French Railways.
