The Centre for Logistics & Heuristic Optimisation hosted a colloquium on Thursday 12 June 2014 in advance of the 20th conference for the International Federation of Operational Research Societies held in Barcelona, Spain from (13 -18th July 2014). Professor Kusum Deep from the Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee, India gave the keynote talk – ‘Can Advancements in Nature Inspired Optimization Techniques Solve Complex Real Life Problems?’.
PhD and PDRA participants included Lina Simeonova, Naveed Wassan, Abdellah Elashaikh, Truing Hieu Tran and Chandra Irawan.
The event was chaired by Professor Said Salhi, Director of the Centre for Logistics & Heuristic Optimisation.
