Kent Business School is pleased to welcome Martin Parr as an Honorary Research Fellow from 1st March 2014 to 28th February 2017. Martin has worked for the Defence Evaluation and Research Agency (DERA) since 1991 and has completed a BEng in Electronic Engineering with Business, and an MSc in Electronic Engineering from the University of Surrey. Both degrees were funded by DERA. Following the split of DERA, Martin joined QinetiQ as a lead researcher looking into novel image tracking and processing algorithms. In 2003 Martin moved to the Defence Science and Technology Laboratory (Dstl) as a Senior Analyst leading the analysis of complex military networks in collaboration with an international partner organisation. Martin has held a number of positions in Dstl including Team Leader, Lead Analyst and (as a secondee) Project Manager within a MOD/Industry partnership, Niteworks. In recent years Martin has been a consultant focusing on complex and high profile business and systems problems such as the design of mitigation for a pan-government specialist national capability. Martin’s work has focused on designing and planning of change activities that affect government, industry and academia.
