On May 23 2013, Professor Paul Phillips chaired an Association of Business School (ABS), International and External Relations committee meeting, which was kindly hosted by Birmingham Business School, University of Birmingham.
Professor Phillips was instrumental in the formation of the new ABS committee in 2012, and the key projects include: to continue to develop the ABS International and External Relations network with biannual roundtables (November and May) to build capacity and a vibrant community amongst business schools; to monitor and disseminate policy from UKBA, UKTI, Scottish Development International, accrediting bodies and other key stakeholders; to oversee the production of an International and External Relations future proofing report for member business schools and to develop a risk management tool for business schools to help International decision-making and to act as an internal governance tool.
The ABS International and External Relations committee consists of fifteen members, which includes: business school deans, associate deans, and senior staff from ABS member business schools.
