”I found the Business Executives Forum very enjoyable and was very impressed with the professional manner in which it was conducted. I have been to a number of business networking events, and this is certainly one of the best.”
Simon Reed, Managing Director, Rough Old Wife Cider Company
The Kent Business School is committed to sharing its expert academic and industry knowledge with the local economy through The Business Executives Forum, Kent’s only research-led business network.
The Forums are specially designed for management professionals across all sizes of organisations in the private, public and Third Sectors with the key aim of providing delegates with ideas that can be implemented back into their business planning and strategies.
”It was a nice and innovative event in a good location, and a good chance for people to network. We will be following up the learning from tonight with the University, and hope to get students involved in some of the work we are doing”.
Robin Cooper, Director of Regeneration and Culture, Medway Council
‘Open Innovation – What, Why and How?’ Has been the topic for the spring series with Forums held in Canterbury and Tunbridge Wells attracting 100 delegates. The presentation was led by Dr Marian Garcia, senior lecturer in Marketing at the Kent Business School. As Marian told us, the presentation was about looking at why an increasing number of companies, governments and public organisations are working with external partners, how partners are integrated in the innovation process together with tips for how to get started in the Open Innovation process.
“This evening’s topic on Open Innovation was fantastic for me being in the technology industry. The presentation was then followed by really interesting conversations around the dinner table. All-in-all a very good evening”.
Stacey Driver, Business Development Manager, StickleBack Manufacturing Ltd
