To maintain computer and IS hardware and provide local technical support, guidance and assistance to users on site at Tilmanstone Salads, acting as liaison with Bakkavor’s central IS team where appropriate |
Role Accountabilities: | |
1 | Maintenance of business unit computer and IS hardware. This involves, dismantling, repairing and trouble shooting for common problems. Liaison with third party suppliers to order replacement parts. |

Maintain and support network infrastructure. This involves setting up cabling for phones and data, trouble shooting network problems. Liaison with the Engineering department to set up network devices and factory equipment. |
3 | Maintenance of telephone communication system. This involves, trouble shooting issues, maintenance of handsets and cabling, maintain database of users names via third party. |
4 | Maintenance of network equipment including; T&A system, Access Control, CCTV, RFID etc. |
5 | Strict enforcement of the current IT Standards and Policies. |

Lead on IS projects, as directed by the business, to further improve the systems, hardware and software on site. |
7 | Take responsibility for and report against the local IT maintenance budget. |
8 | Raise purchase orders for all new IT equipment purchases. |
9 | Site Champion for migration from Windows XP to Windows 7, liasing closely with group IS. |

Ensure site Printers are available to local users at all times, by responding promptly to faults and minimizing downtime. Maintain toner supply. |
11 | Local Spreadsheet development, technical support and guidance to users with office applications. |
