Operations/Reservations Co-ordinator
America As You Like It is a niche direct sell tour operator, offering accommodation and tailor made fly-drive holidays across America. We also have two specialist programmes – Windows on the Wild (wildlife and adventure holidays) and Go Fishing (fishing holidays).
The position of Operations/Reservations Co-ordinator involves dealing with clients’ enquiries over the telephone, taking reservations, confirming flights, hotels and car hire arrangements, sending out invoices and documentation, including brochures. The successful applicant may also be involved in brochure research and pricing. As we are a small company, there is also the opportunity to get involved in other areas of the business as well. The job includes using the computer for word processing, spreadsheets, e-mail and internet and also a fair amount of telephone work.
Applicants should be flexible, accurate and posses good team skills. Other specifications include having a sense of humour, good computer and telephone skills and a knowledge of the travel industry.
There is one placement position available. The salary will be £13,000 pa, with 20 days holiday. Office hours are 9am-5.30pm, Monday-Friday, although overtime may be required when busy. The start date for the placement is 1 July 2013.
