As part of the Placement Programme, you will be given a detailed work-plan along with structured quarterly reviews with your manager on your progress.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- To participate in continuous improvement projects to evolve project management capabilities around the world as part of the Global OMCS strategy to increase scope of services within all regions including:
- Develop understanding of interaction with business processes, data attributes and ERP system functionality,
- Make improvement recommendations based on analysis of business metrics and Key Performance Indicators (KPI),
- Analyse system data attributes to identify and resolve errors with customer orders and improve data integrity,
- Develop system reporting metrics based on data analytics to highlight improvement opportunities,
- Support overall process improvement efforts for Global OMCS teams, by participating in projects & initiatives within the organization. Primary focus:
- standardising & removing waste from processes
- reducing order life cycle time
- increasing customer satisfaction
- Participate in Six Sigma projects and represent Global OMCS Strategy/Improvement,
- Participation in departmental meetings,
- Provide support for Global OMCS Strategy/Improvement leadership,
- Review and adapt the Global Distributor Policy Manual in support of business and customer feedback,
- Support the provision of global OMCS performance measurements and reports,
- Manage the process for introduction of new customer accounts (Customer Master) including resolution of issues.
TRAINING PROVIDED:
The following training and exposure will be provided:
- Continuous Improvement methodology (incl. 6S),
- Presentation and communication skills,
- Practices and procedures,
- MRP/ERP/systems knowledge (Oracle, Siebel, ASCP),
- Synchronised Planning.
Qualifications
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
- Candidate should be studying for a degree in Supply Chain or a related field,
- Extensive experience in Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Access,
- Ability to analyse data and draw conclusions,
- Strong written and oral communication skills,
- Self-motivation and ability to multitask,
- Work well with cross functional teams,
- Problem Solving,
- Active Listening.
Salary: £16,500 p.a.
