International Communications Assistant

Role Title: International Communications Assistant – 12 Month Placement
Start Date: 11 September 2013

NB: To apply you must be a student wishing to take part in a year out as a part of your degree and be on target for a 2.1 or above.

Main purpose of the role:

Assisting with internal communications channels and their delivery nationally to 1,200 employees as well as smaller sections of the business. This role sits within the Human Resources Department and has exposure to all areas of the business, with a great opportunity to learn about all aspects of a commercial business and global exposure.

Duties and responsibilities:

  • Developing communications plans for various projects across the business;
  • Creating content for various communication tools;
  • Liaising with in-house and external contractors to deliver communications products to agreed standards, budget and corporate guidelines;
  • Increasing internal adoption of Yammer, our social network, by generating content and driving employee engagement;
  • Assisting at internal events;
  • Providing low-level technical support and training for Yammer;
  • Providing administrative support to operations departments (HR, Marketing) including data entry and analysis.

Skills needed:

  • Creativity and an attention to detail
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to build relationships across the globe
  • The ability to multitask, in our fast paced environment
  • Strong IT skills and ability to analyse data
  • Competent with Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint and able to learn new systems quickly
  • A basic understanding or an interest in the legal industry is a bonus
