Job Title: HR Development Assistant  
Location: HR Development Centre, Tonbridge  
Reports To: Employee Engagement Manager  
Purpose of the Job
 To provide support:

  • EFQM project team during the preparation period for resubmission and assessment.
  • Employee Survey including planning of and Action Planning  processes
  • Focus Groups across the network including organisation and activity mapping
  • Recruitment team with administration as required
  • Induction including production of course materials
Principal Accountabilities
Supporting the EFQM project owner and coordinator with preparation of the EFQM resubmission

Working with managers across the organisation to obtain key data for inclusion in our EFQM assessment submission document

Working with managers across the organisation to ensure that results data meet the requirements of the EFQM submission

Conducting research into relevant benchmarking data both externally and internally (with other Go Ahead Group companies)

Formatting all gathered data into the required format for the EFQM assessment submission document

Working with managers across the organisation to obtain data for inclusion in our Focus Group matrix document

Recording and formatting all gathered data into Focus Group matrix document

Working with managers across the organisation to ensure that best practice for Focus Groups is shared, supported, and implemented systematically

Working with managers across the organisation to obtain data for inclusion in our Employee Survey Action Planning matrix document

Recording and formatting all gathered data into Employee Survey Action Planning matrix document

Working with managers across the organisation to ensure that best practice for devising and implementing survey action plans is shared systematically

Production and distribution of pre-employment material

Production of material for live assessment of  the Induction programme including setting up of  the Genie World system

Recording of data from Induction assessment programmes

Setting up, distribution, monitoring, recording and revising post-Induction assessment systems

Most Challenging and/or Difficult parts of the role
Maintaining accurate and up-to-date databases and producing accurate and timely reports; cross-referencing records to ensure common data content

Coping with unexpected or last minute arrangements or changes to plans.

Dealing with very busy line managers and negotiating scheduled meetings with groups of front-line employees

Experience

  • Computer literate – able to use databases, MS office programmes including Word and Excel, and email software. Experience in producing reports, matrices and managing calendars.

  • Experience of preparing reports, correspondence and presentations without supervision.
