Prof Katie Truss presents to the Association of Commonwealth Universities Conference for Executive Heads

On 9th  November, Professor Katie Truss  was invited to present on the topic of ‘Measuring Staff Satisfaction’ at the Association of Commonwealth Universities Conference for Executive Heads in Kingston, Jamaica. Prof Katie Truss is an expert in Organisational Behaviour/HRM Head at Kent Business School, University of Kent.

The conference was opened by the Hon Portia Simpson Miller, Prime Minster of Jamaica. Katie’s talk to University Vice Chancellors from across the Commonwealth focused on the value to Universities of gaining an accurate understanding of levels of staff satisfaction and engagement, and on some of the pitfalls to avoid. In particular, she highlighted the importance of linking staff surveys to wider initiatives aimed at engaging and motivating staff, rather than using surveys in isolation.
