3 Month placement opportunity – Sales and Marketing Officer

Fudge Kitchen has been hand making their unique style of fudge across 8 retail locations for over 25 years. We have also recently established a new company to develop new products aimed at accessing new wholesale and export markets. This is a very busy and exciting time for the company and all those working within it. Fudge Kitchen is a fun and friendly place to work where every opportunity is given for those with initiative, to grow their role and take a key part in the management and development of the company.

As a Sales & Marketing Officer your day-to-day duties will include liaising with existing and potential clients by telephone, email and face to face in order to generate sales. You will also assist the Managing Director & Marketing Manager in marketing Fudge Kitchen and its products, have input to the NPD team and be involved in the research of new markets.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills (inc. telephone an email)
  • Able to work well under pressure and to set deadlines
  • Customer service/ client facing experience
  • Strong administration skills and attention to detail
  • Good initiative and research skills
  • Confident and enthusiastic
  • Ability to use IT packages including Word and Excel
  • Knowledge of and ability to use social media including Facebook and Twitter
  • A full UK driving licence and access to own vehicle

Main duties and responsibilities are to:

  • have a full and complete knowledge of all of our products, our company and its heritage
  • be involved in market analysis & prioritisation
  • generate leads & identify opportunities
  • sell and promote Fudge Kitchen and our range of products to existing and potential customers by telephone, e mail and in person
  • work to targets, monthly, quarterly and annual
  • respond to enquiries from clients and interested parties as the main sales point of contact for Fudge Kitchen
  • take and manage orders and liaise with production to ensure stock levels
  • liaise with accounts to ensure customers are invoiced correctly and on time
  • assist with the on-going marketing of Fudge Kitchen to wholesale and allied customers through a variety of means
  • attend trade shows and follow up promptly
  • represent Fudge Kitchen at demonstrations and sampling of our products in retailers’ stores
  • to work closely alongside the Managing Director & Marketing Manager
