Professor Peter Bird passed away in post as Head of Accounting and Finance at the University of Kent in 1987 and this fund was established as a fitting tribute to him through a legacy and donations.
The fund is available to support a PhD student in Accounting with a £5,000 contribution per year to one awardee over three years. The fund is currently available and applicants should contact phdinfo@kent.ac.uk for further information.
