On 27 March 2012 Chris Lovewell of Transport for London will be presenting to students of Contemporary Issues in Tourism about the Thames Estuary airport proposal. The lecture will be at Kent Business School at Medway and is open to University of Kent staff and students.
Chris’ current role within the Transport Planning and Projects team involves work on initial transport project feasibility, business case development and optioneering. He has been at the heart of technical work supporting the Mayor of London’s recent aviation work. This analysis has been central to the publication of two reports that make the case for a new hub airport for London. His lecture provides an overview of this work, a discussion of the key arguments in the aviation capacity debate and addresses the issues surrounding a potential new hub airport in the Thames Estuary.
The lecture will be in Room M1-22 from 3-5pm. For further information contact Caroline Walsh.
