Kent Business School supports ambitious owner-managers in west Kent

Over 100 ambitious owner-managers have taken part in a series of workshops with Kent Business School’s academic experts aimed at improving the performance of SMEs in west Kent.

Owner-managers were provided with expertise and space to consider how they might better drive their ambition, define their strategy, manage their people and collaborate more effectively with their customer and supplier networks.

In addition, academics were provided with an opportunity to translate their research into practice and deliver exciting and thought-provoking sessions, therein supporting the growth and performance of regional firms.

This event series has proved highly successful and has led to ongoing engagement between the Kent Business School and regional employers, as Simon Raby programme lead comments:

‘This network is an excellent example of how a Business School can partner with other sponsors to provide regional firms with opportunities for learning and growth’
Simon continued ‘It is our ambition at the Kent Business School to develop a range of networks across the region to help support the future growth and performance of ambitious owner-managers’.

The event series, sponsored by the Courier Media Group and the University of Kent’s SME Innovation Voucher Scheme, ran between June and October. If you are intrigued to know more about learning opportunities at the Kent Business School please contact Simon Raby on 01227 824740.
