Former PhD student wins first prize for Operational Research Society’s 2010 Doctoral Prize
Kent Business School are proud to announce that Federico Liberatore has received first prize in the UK Operational Research (OR) Society’s 2010 Doctoral Prize for ‘Best Dissertation in Management Science’ at the Operational Research Society’s Annual Conference in September, 2011.
This news follows our announcement back in July 2011 that one of the School’s former PhD students. Federico, had been shortlisted as one of the three top winners of the 2010 PhD Doctoral Prize. This award comes with great accolade for Federico, along with a cash prize of £1,500 and continues to enhance Kent Business School’s excellence in research.
Operational Research (OR) is the discipline of applying advanced analytical methods to help make better decisions. The OR Society has members in 53 countries and provides training, conferences, publications and information to those working in Operational Research. The OR Society’s annual Doctoral Prize for the “Most Distinguished Body of Research leading to the Award of a Doctorate in the field of OR” was made at the OR Society’s Annual Conference in Nottingham, UK.
