Professor Paul Phillips bows out this month as Director of Kent Business School. He has served his term of office and now leaves the School well positioned for the future. His tenure at the helm has seen a growth in undergraduate and postgraduate student numbers, improved 2008 research assessment exercise rating by 21 places, increasing levels of student satisfaction in the national student survey and a growing international reputation.
He is particularly delighted with the Sunday Times 2011 ranking the school as the best in the South East for Management Studies.
Professor Phillips will commence a one-year sabbatical during which he plans to recharge his batteries, embark on some new research projects and accept some overseas Visiting Professorship positions.
Professor John Mingers will commence on 1 July 2011 for a one-year period, as Interim Director of Kent Business School.
