The new way to get staff IT tech – introducing Tech Shop

We are pleased to announce the new procedure for you to get staff IT equipment easily, quickly and at good value through a centralised online Tech Shop, powered by Information Services and in partnership with our supplier Stone Group.  This is now the single approach to procure IT technology to support hybrid working.

You can choose from HP laptops, 24” monitors, docking monitors and stations, keyboards, mice, headsets, webcams and other peripherals / accessories. Laptops will come with the standard staff managed set up.  

We have HP Elitebook 840 laptops available now, plus HP Probook 600 series laptops available from October 2022. Special requests, outside of the standard range will be considered on a case-per-case basis. 

The range has been developed to provide IT equipment to support hybrid-working – with the emphasis on mobile laptop technologies, delivered by reliable and robust brands. Equipment is compatible with Microsoft 365 applications and has been piloted with divisional staff for suitability. 

The new service will offer a 24 hour* fulfilment of your IT requirements through an innovative stock management system, ensuring you won’t have to wait to get your tech!  

You can access the Tech Shop on SharePoint Online.

 * 24 hour fulfilment is Mon-Fri only. Special orders will take longer to fulfil, subject to stock availability/delivery time.
