David Corfield works on connections between health and the mind.

David has a longstanding interest in psychosomatic approaches to medicine. He is the co-author with Darian Leader of Why do People Get Ill? (Penguin Books, 2007) which explores the role of the mind in ill health through a psychoanalytic lens.

 

 

Lubomira Radoilska works on mental health and neurodiversity in connection to values-based practice.

Lubomira leads a participatory research initiative on Meaningful Voices aiming to develop, test and document new collaborative strategies for learning from lived experiences in the context of mental health.

 

 

Alexandra Trofimov works on connections between health and the law.

Alexandra works on the project, EBL+: New philosophical foundations for evidence-based law (Leverhulme Trust 2023-26).

 

 

Michael Wilde works on evidence in medicine.

Michael leads the project Evidential Pluralism in evaluations of carcinogenicity and social interventions (AHRC 2023-25).

 

 

Jon Williamson works on evidence in medicine and methods for causal and probabilistic inference in medicine.
