We celebrate the differences in abilities and cultures in our international institution and have a firm commitment to provide quality educational adjustments and guidance to ensure you develop your full potential.

We acknowledge that disability support services in the UK could be different to the services offered to in other countries, and you may require creative strategies and planned preparations for the transition. For example, our educational adjustments may not allow to withdraw from group work, examination arrangements may be shorter; fixed hoists in adapted rooms on campus will require advance booking (6 months or a year) and so do bookings for sign language interpretation; medication for some mental health conditions may not be available to you in the UK; care support assistance for daily living will need to be arranged privately; physiotherapies may be different too, etc.

There could be other differences you may not be aware of, so It may best to make enquiries before you arrive.

To help you with the transition we will guide you via this blog throughout the academic year, but remember we are more than happy to answer any question you may want to ask either by phone, Skype, email or in person.
Remember it is best to ask than to assume.
