*Blogpost updated to reflect agreed reporting line for Insurance* 8/9/22
Gordon Vernon, our Head of Payments and Pensions, is leaving the University at the end of October and we’re making arrangements to celebrate and remember our times with Gordon. We’ll announce this as soon as we have the details.
In response to his news we have reviewed his portfolio to find the best fit for the future and have agreed that, from November 2022:
- The Payroll and Pensions team will be transferring to the HR Directorate, reporting to Terri Williams. The team already work really closely with HR and this move will further increase the co-operation and effectiveness of the way they work together. The two teams will be co-located within the Registry, once the Registry Electrical works are complete.
- The Payments team will be managed by Henry Wereko, our Assistant Director of Finance (Operations)
- The Insurance function, under Graham Mason, will report to Mark Reed, our Assistant Director of Finance (Procurement)
