Agresso Upgrade – Scheduled for November 2019
In November the Finance Systems Team will be upgrading Agresso. This is necessary to ensure compatibility with future versions of Microsoft Windows and Office and to move onto the latest versions of server and database software. This will ensure our UBW application remains fully supported by the software provider.
As part of this exercise Agresso has been renamed , Unit 4 Business World (UBW). Our email address will be changing to reflect this change to ubw_help@kent.ac.uk.
Currently we are in the process of User Acceptance Testing. This part of the upgrade is extremely important and we really appreciate your assistance and help.
UBW will be accessed by the usual method on the desktop, in addition users will be able to access via a new web interface.
UBW users will be contacted nearer to the November go live date with further information.
Implementation Of New Module – Planner – August 2019
We are also moving from the existing ‘Budgeting’ module to a new module called ‘Planner’. Internally within Finance this will change the way budgets are loaded and allocated.
The previous Balance Table (VUOK_COM) will no longer be available. This has been replaced by UOK_BAL (see below). This view will be loaded with budgeting data from periods 201301 and ongoing budgeting figures will only update UOK_BAL. The UOK_BAL table will be populated with 2018 transactions at an agreed point in August 2019 when the switch to the Planner module takes place. From them on all budget data will be viewable in UOK_BAL in the current version of Agresso and going forward into the upgraded version of UBW.
If you have any personal balance table views linked to VUOK_COM you will need to change them to UOK_BAL. We will email all users affected with guidance notes to help with the update.
