Following discussions with the Staff Connect team the following changes have been made to the University’s chart of accounts for payroll costs:
- Account Code 3515 – ‘ALC Staff – Pay’ will now not be closed and has been renamed as ‘Managerial & Professional Staff Pay’
- Account Code 3620 – ‘Secretarial and Clerical staff will now not be closed and has been renamed as ‘Administrative & Secretarial Staff Pay’
- Account Code 3516 – which we were going to introduce as part of the changes will now not be needed, as it would have replaced the two codes above
Any expenditure posted to 3516 will be moved by Financial Reporting to 3515 or 3620 so there is no need for schools or departments to do anything.
As previously advised, the Financial Reporting team will be working with Financial Planning team to identify any budgets that need to be moved due to code closures and will be posting a virement. There is therefore no need for schools or departments to do individual budget movements, we will send out a further message once we are ready to post this virement.
