EWL team member Professor Chris Phillipson of Manchester University has been quoted in an article in the Guardian entitled “Our cities must undergo a revolution for older people”. http://www.theguardian.com/commentisfree/2015/mar/15/age-friendly-cities-design-future. It refers to Chris’s term “self-imposed house arrest” which he believes can be brought about as a result of our cities not being designed or organised with older people in mind.
